Acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Herbal Consults, Acu-Point Injections

My name is Minchu Chen. I was born in Taipei, Taiwan. My late father was a seasoned Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) doctor in mainland China and was also a well-learned man in Chinese classics. My father retreated to Taiwan in 1955 and settled down there, where he had been licensed as a doctor of Chinese Medicine by the Taiwanese government and practiced TCM for over four decades until he passed away.

My father’s passion in TCM as well as in classical Chinese literature and poems had a tremendous influence on me. In fact, I became rather familiar with and enchanted by classical Chinese literature during my high school years and decided to make it my major for my bachelor and master’s degrees when I entered National Chengchi University (NCCU) in Taipei. After I receiving my master’s degree I became a Chinese literature instructor in a top-ranked private university in Taiwan.

I had been teaching for a few years when something inside my heart urged me to come to the United States and pursue a higher degree. Therefore, I began applying for graduate schools in the U.S. and was accepted by the Ph. D program of Educational Technology offered by the College of Education at the University of Florida in the fall of 1999, and I received my Ph. D. in May of 2004.

After suffering from a recurring immunological skin disorder for a few years, it wasn’t until I turned to TCM that I finally fully recovered without any side effects. I healed myself with herbal medicine through studying my late father’s TCM notes. My faith in TCM had been confirmed over and over again when my family members and friends benefit from the complete cure of TCM. It was then that I made up my mind to regain the TCM knowledge in my life, which was enlightened and cultivated by my late father in my childhood through my young age, and enrolled in the school of Florida College of Integrated Medicine (FCIM) to study TCM systematically. I have a dream of not only becoming a good doctor to help mankind through practicing TCM, but also a good teacher to spread the priceless and cherishable TCM knowledge in benefiting human beings. Hence, I started my new career by acting as a TCM doctor after I graduated from FCIM and earned my licenses in Florida and Texas, and the Certification of Doctor of Oriental Medicine from NCCAOM.

Since then I have been applying the natural remedies in the perspective of holistic Chinese Medicine with a focus on the combination of herbal medicine, acupuncture, auricular acupuncture, and relative modalities such as cupping, gua sha, tai chi, and food therapy. Meanwhile, I went back to FCIM and became an instructor of senior level Chinese Herbology courses at FCIM, which I have been teaching since February 2016.

Reared in a family of TCM doctors that goes back four generations and having gained a good reputation as the acting Acupuncture Physician in Orlando, Florida, I have targeted my expertise in immunological skin disorders, gynecological disorders, and sinusitis as well as pain management, allergy, migraine, insomnia, apnea, and arthritis remedies. I provide comprehensive health remedies through rendering acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and conventional therapy. I also see distant patients online, offering them herbal prescriptions and food therapy, which has gained notable results in many cases of internal disorders.

My late father had been a knowledgeable, well-respected, and competent TCM doctor throughout his life. Under his kind and imperceptible influence on me over years, it always has been a great honor for me to follow in his footsteps to know and to practice TCM. Thus, I effortfully remain faithful and true to this calling all my life as well as a dedicated TCM instructor.
